When I did the first vanity search I was amazed at the fact that I couldn't find myself. I have done this before to see if people could find me on facebook or twitter easily, especially when I first started working because I wanted to make sure my students couldn't easily find me. So it did surprise me during that first vanity search that I could not find myself. The amount of programs that we have signed up for in this class alone should have made my presence in cyberspace more prenounced. Unfortunately, again I tried typeing in my name couldn't find me because there are alot of Brian Brown's out there, go figure, then I tried typeing in my middle name. The same result happened. I finally typed in the city that I live in and still could not find me. This to me just shows that my name protects me from having any type of huge presence out on the internet. It also reassured me that my information & my personal life is not going to be out there for everyone to see. Unfortuantely, in the realm of education it would make it very hard to share information with people unless they had my direct address to facebook, YouTube, or Twitter.
